Wow, why is is we want what we can’t have? How I would love that problem. Heat is kicking now up to 90’s. We can be very hot into October and with water restrictions starting, it is looking like a very brown season ahead. I recycle water from washing vegetables to put on my flowers and capture some from my shower. I have started a few veggies in pots too to help also conserve, thick mulch on most everything. A lot of people are letting lawns die, yards are looking pretty bad. Maybe we should trade places for awhile!

Oh…my…gosh…it’s been *terrible*! We were out this morning doing “bug duty” as well as other garden chores WEARING A SWEATSHIRT!!! This is insane. It’s the middle of July! But yes, our garden has definitely been suffering, and based on what we see around us, so is everyone else’s. We’ll see if anything matures by the first frost. Ugh.

But on the other hand, it’s been a bumper year for peas…
