Yes, thats pretty much why I start most of my seeds now. I just have healthier plants. And hardning off plants is a big part of successful plants!

I have used the micro soil blocks and I even experimented using homemade soil blocks one year. They worked ok for certain seeds...and it was a fun experiment! Denise</description>

		<description>I have many friends who have good luck starting seeds and other who have decided to buy plants. I think its all in what you feel comfortable with. To me its an experiment. Usually I do well, but sometimes..... ;) I fall short.

I started sowing my own for the reasons you listed and more. The transplants bought from the store are never hardened off correctly! Drives me nuts!
