Garden trivia and odd facts make gardening interesting. I have found several Phobias that relate to gardening and the outdoors.
There should be one for the fear of weeding!

- Alliumphobia – the fear of garlic
- Anthrophobia – Fear of flowers.
- Apiphobia – the fear of bees
- Arachnophobia – is the fear of spiders
- Botanophobia – Fear of plants
- Ceraunophobia – is the fear of thunder
- Dendrophobia – Fear of trees
- Entomophobia – Fear of insects.
- Gnomophobia – fear of garden Gnomes
- Heliophobia – Fear of the sun.
- Hydrophobia – the fear of water
- Insectophobia – the fear of insects. ( also see Entomophobia)
- Lachanophobia – the fear of vegetables I have seen the look of fear on peoples faces when you mention Zucchini
- Mycophobia- is the fear of mushrooms. Many mushrooms are poisonous.
- Mysophobia – Fear of dirt and germs
- Ophidiophobia – Fear of snakes.
- Ornithophobia – Fear of birds.
- Pagophobia – the fear of ice or frost.
- Parasitophobia – the fear of parasites
- Panthophobia – is the fear of disease. Not limited to plant disease
- Pteridophobia – Fear of ferns.
- Ranidaphobia – fear of frogs
- Rupophobia – is the fear of dirt
- Scoleciphobia – the fear of worms
- Seplophobia – the fear of decaying matter. Compost piles fit well in this category
- Selenophobia – Fear of the moon.
- Tonitrophobia – Fear of thunder

- Zoophobia – Fear of animals
